October 5, 2009: Amy Poehler and Aziz Ansari are among the many comedians performing this weekend at The Ultimate Comedy Bash — presented by The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater — in Solvang, CA.
The event kicks off on Friday night with Fresh Faces, a show featuring the likes of Paul F. Tompkins (Best Week Ever), Matt Braunger (MADtv), Josh Fadem (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), among others, for $10.
Saturday plays host to two shows. The 12 p.m. Asssscat show (for $25) features Matt Walsh (The Hangover), Matt Besser (Walk Hard), Ian Roberts (Reno 911!) and a few other special appearances. The 3 p.m. Greatest Comedy Show Ever ($35) has Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!), Casey Wilson (Saturday Night Live), Nick Kroll (I Love You, Man) and others.
Says Casey Wilson:
I’m interested to see how comedy and Solvang will mix. But the quality of performers that are making a mass pilgrimage up there is kind of astounding.
