This post lists information relating to the movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. In it, Aubrey Plaza plays the role of Julie Powers. The movie is expected to be released in 2010.
Aziz Ansari was asked by The FADER to conduct an e-mail exchange with Animal Collective — in hopes of creating something special.
Here’s how everything began:
Okay, so FADER gave me your email addresses and said that we should just email back and forth with hopes that this will create an interesting interview that doesn’t read like most normal run-of-the-mill interviews. Thanks for asking me to do this, I’m a big fan and excited. Many of my emails are just sending my friends music or dumb things I find on the internet, so I will start with one of each, let me know what you think and send me back something if you can.
Aziz proceeded to send Animal Collective two YouTube videos — one being an Ultimate Warrior appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show — and to ask a few random questions.

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett’s child, Archie, celebrates his first birthday on Sunday. Here’s a quote from Amy on her amazing year and, of course, Archie:
This year has been an outstanding year and really a thrilling one. It’s gone by really, really fast and I can’t believe he’s 1. Children are amazing for so many reasons and one of them is that they kind of punctuate your life. Often our lives go by so fast without enjoying the moment and being able to reflect. When you have a person living in your house that is growing next to you it’s just amazing to watch and reflect the passage of time.
With Parks and Recreation’s second season beginning tonight at 8:30/7:30c, publications and other news outlets are scoring multiple interviews with Parks and Recreation’s cast and staff.
Here are excerpts from three interviews/Q&As with Amy Poehler and Aziz Ansari, Chris Pratt and Michael Schur:
Amy on her season two excitement:
I do think that we’re lucky… we just had a seasonette, kind of a little season, and so we’re still in the second season getting into the groove. And so I feel really excited about this next season because I think we’re all kind of figuring out who we are and where we’re supposed to be. But, you know, it’s a constant evolution and learning process.
“Parks” comes from the same creators as “The Office,” which didn’t really have its breakout year until season two. Is this the season “Parks” goes big?
I’d like to think so. “The Office” is now a huge hit show, but right off the bat people didn’t really get it. I think it takes a show like ours a few episodes to find its comedic footing and understand which comedic sensibilities make most sense for its characters. Steve Carell could be constantly compared to [British "Office" star] Ricky Gervais, but they’re not the same and they’re both funny motherf–kers. The same thing with Amy Poehler—she’s not Steve Carell, she Amy f–king Poehler. The stuff I’m reading this year is making me laugh out loud a lot more. I don’t know if that means I’ve drunk the Kool-Aid or what. But the episodes coming out are really, really funny.
Rushed or not, how satisfied were you with the six episodes that aired last spring? What did you and Greg recognize as the strengths and weaknesses? Were there things you realized you wanted to do less of, or more of?
Overall, I think we did a pretty good job of establishing the world. The show is about a diverse group of characters, from different walks of life, who are drawn together by a single project, so it took a while just to situate everyone. And it’s a character comedy, so the episodes are naturally going to get more interesting and fun the more people know the characters.
In general, the show seemed to work best when we found the right balance of personal and professional stories (like in “Rock Show”), so we’ve tried to emphasize that as well. We’re always trying to improve — we’re our own harshest critics. If the show lasts for ten years, I’d hope we get better every episode right up until the series finale.
StarPulse.com interviewed Amy Poehler and Aziz Ansari about the new season. Here’s a few funny snippets (follow the link below to read the full interview. Trust me, it’s quite good):
Amy on Leslie and her man problems:
I think Leslie’s just having a hard time figuring out how to act around a person who’s very available and into her. I think that unfortunately her feelings for Mark are not completely over. But who knows? I hope a good thing happens, but it’s up to the writers…and Jesus Christ.
Amy on guest stars:
The band Coldplay is also going to be in every episode, but you’re not going to be able to see them. They’re going to be hidden, but they’re going to be there.
Aziz on how he hones his acting skills:
I watch the movie There Will Be Blood with Daniel Day-Lewis’ commentary on and listen to what he did, and that’s the same technique I apply to my acting.
Amy on how long Parks and Recreation will remain on the air:
I’ve signed on for 100 seasons, so we’ve got like, what, 98 to go.
Spin magazine conducted a Q&A with Aziz Ansari. To no one’s surprise, they talked about music:
What was the last concert you went to?
I went to see TV on the Radio at the Glass House in Pomona [California]. Sean Paul got onstage with them and did a couple of verses during “Halfway Home.” The crowd wasn’t into it, but I thought it was awesome.
Give me a playlist from your iPod.
I have a “Hip-Hop Party Mix” I play on the Parks and Recreation set to annoy [costar] Rashida Jones. It’s got “I’m the Shit” by DJ Class and “Diddy” by Diddy. We usually end up having a little dance party outside our trailer.
Name an artist you take credit for turning your friends on to.
No matter what I say, I’ll sound like a douche. Everyone will be like, “Oh really? You’re the guy that turned people on to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony? Really?”
